What I love is the Ambience; the vibe is so cool, it is a rooftop restaurant, it has such nice view from all angles, cute, simple furniture settings and all, an extra viewing space further up the rooftop.

This one of my favourite restaurants in Abuja. The ambience is good, the view from the rooftop is great, customer service is commendable and the food taste nice. They have a bar and an open sitting arrangement that makes fresh natural air appreciable. Also they have shisha that can be enjoyed without discomforting other customers.

I visited Miso to try out their Shabu Shabu. Miso is an upscale Japanese and Thai restaurant which offers one of the finest scenic rooftop views in Abuja. So what do we think:THE EXPERIENCEShabu Shabu is a Japanese hot pot dish that features sliced meat and veggies. The marinated meat is served raw and is cooked at the table in a hot pot or skillet. This gives you the option to have your preferred doneness. The Chef spoke about the different meat and how it was seasoned and infused with spices, garlic, chilli, mustard and soya. He also explained that shabu shabu is a food experience that's great for bonding and sharing. Typically, phones and gadgets should be abandoned when it's time for eating it. Our host was very accommodating and put us through the cooking process.THE FOODFor starters, I had a sweet corn soup with homemade chicken meat balls. The soup was rich, tasty and had a subtle kick of heat. We also had goat meat, chicken, beef, prawn and orange skewers, sausage and pineapple skewers, fish, garlic fried rice and an array of sauces like bbq, pepper, chilli and garlic. All the meat was nicely seasoned except the beef which was a bit overpowering and salty. We particularly liked the chicken and how well the rice paired with the Nigerian pepper sauce. Finally for drinks, we enjoyed some pints of ice cold Heineken. The experience was lovely and a unique way of having a meal. Shabu Shabu at Miso cost about 15,000 naira per head. Shabu Shabu is best shared with friends or family and in my own case, I got to share it with some food bloggers in Abuja.

Located on the Rooftop Somerset, Miso has a Breathtaking view of Maitama and it’s environs. With a combo menu of Japanese and Thai cuisines, I had the lamb steak and mash. Although the menu said with asparagus,I got green beans instead. Out of season maybe? For the view alone though, this restaurant is definitely worth this trip and another!

A fine place to dine. Looks like the chef was on a personal vendetta on the day we dined here ... almost every thing we ordered was salty, however the service was top-notch, the servers were polite. …
